Project History
Automated measurement of O2 levels allows for the high-throughput analysis of mitochondrial respiration in plants. This was the project objective of researchers at Columbia's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.
Using inexpensive components, Hise Scientific Instrumentation constructed lab equipment capable of fluorophore O2 measurement. Building this system required integration of a CNC gantry, programmable heating elements and automated O2 sensor reading.
